CANNING BRIDGE ARTS MARKETS

MARKETS HELD ON THE FIRST SUNDAY OF EVERY MONTH commencing 4 March 2012

These markets aim to have Australian made arts and crafts and generally should not be commercial operations. Stalls should not sell imported goods. Exceptions may be made for unique ethnic items of artistic merit at the sole discretion of the Market Director.
All stalls need to comply with relevant State and Local Government Regulations.

FEE: $40 per 3 m x 3 m site, or part-therof. (Please include Current Insurance, Sunday trading form if relevant and Melville Council Health approval if Food Vendor)

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

Fees are non-refundable once application is accepted.
Canning Bridge Arts Markets may accept or reject any application at its sole discretion
Canning Bridge Arts Markets may change stall allocations at its sole discretion
Stallholders vending any foodstuffs/drinks must acquire a licence from the Melville Council through the Market Director.
All stallholders must carry their own insurance and provide evidence of this before participation.
Sunday Trading Licences for some stalls may be required from the Department of Commerce.

CANNING BRIDGE ARTS MARKETS - STALLHOLDERS INFORMATION SHEET

Please abide by the following guidelines to allow us to work together in making the Canning Bridge Arts Markets a success.
SETUP
THE KISHORN ROAD CLOSURE IS NOT SET IN PLACE UNTIL 7AM AND STALL HOLDERS MUST NOT SET UP BEFORE THE ROAD IS CLOSED.
Stalls must be set up by 8.45am and vehicles must be removed from the area by 8.30am. Stalls not occupied by 9.00am may be
re - allocated.
PARKING
Stallholders are required to park vehicles (after 8.30am) outside area cordoned off for markets. It is suggested to park away from the markets to allow buyer access. We hope to have a special area available for stall-holders’ cars. Failure to remove vehicle from market area when requested may result in banning from the markets.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Stallholders are responsible for the safety of the public within the allocated stall area and for the safety of products sold.
Stallholders must ensure that all shelters, cabanas, umbrellas, tables, display boards etc. are adequately secured and comply with all safety regulations as requested by the Canning Bridge Arts Markets officials. Soft objects (sandbags or plastic water containers) must be used as hold-downs.
Keep walkways clear and report any hazards to the Rotary duty officer at the information station.
All stallholders vending any foodstuffs/drinks (whether prepared on site or not) must comply with public health guidelines.
Smoking by stall holders in the Kishorn Road market area at the Canning Bridge Arts Markets is not permitted.
CLOSING AND CLEANUP
Stallholders are required to remain open until 3.00 pm and areas must be vacated by 4.00 pm. (the terms of our permit state that the road must be re-opened at 4.00 p.m.) Please remove all rubbish and leave the area clean and tidy.

• Applications to sell goods that compete directly with local shops that may be open on market day will not be accepted.

• Acceptance of all stallholders is subject to approval of Rotary Club of Canning Bridge.

• Every effort is made to locate the stallholders where requested but the managers reserve the right to locate all stalls. For the first market, all stalls will be allocated firstly along Kishorn Road.

• Stall holders vehicles must be parked a suitable distance away from the market area to allow parking for buyers.
