Flat Sided Bottle: Cher Shackleton

I would suggest using a kilo of clay to start with.
You may find it easier to wire cut from the bat before you squeeze in the sides,
all depends on the thickness of the base of your bottle.
If it is to thick you may have trouble applying pressure to the sides.

Centre the clay
Pull up to required height
Narrow in the neck of the bottle
Clean away surplus slip from the outside of the bottle
Use 2 moisten bats, apply equal pressure, press together
Gradually slide the bats up and off the bottle
Wire cut the base
Clean up. I add a thumb print at this stage.
Finished
