Study Group
The Study Group meets in the ceramic studio at ECU Mount Lawley every third Thursday of the month.
Mike Kusnik was at the very first Study Group meeting. Now in his 80's, he is still a keen and active life member.
The Study Group is an opportunity for the members to gather over coffee and discuss their work. DVD's and show and tell nights, along with invited guest speakers are also part of the agenda. Everyone is welcome. The cost is $3. This will not only get you coffee and cake but a raffle ticket for a piece of ceramic art. Janet Kovesi Watt is the study group's co-ordinator.
Pauline Mann is in the process of writing an article of the history of the Ceramic Study group.
When it is ready it will be posted on this page.
April meeting will be a country get together in Margaret River.
May meeting will be a talk from participants in the Woodfire Tasmania Conference and a show and tell of lidded pots.
June meeting will be Di Sigel talking about her ceramic collection.
July meeting, Janet Kovesi Watt will give a report of this year's International Ceramics festival at Aberystwyth, in Wales, and the show and tell will be Teapots.
