The CAAWA Study Group was formerly the Ceramic Study Group and was formed in 1970 by students from
Perth Technical College who wished to continue interactive
contact after the completion of their courses.
The aims of
the group were to maintain contact with and share ideas and research
with each other. The function of the group has broadened over the
years to the point that any person who is interested in the study
of clay and glazes and related subjects may join.
The Study Group meets every month - most meetings have a guest speaker with a slide show and talk, or a
demonstration, presented by local, interstate or overseas potters.
