Patricia Hines

Patricia is a Contemporary Artist with a printmaking and mixed media background who has recently explored both the two and three dimensional properties of clay combined with some of those other mediums such as print, timber, acrylic and canvas. Works are created using bisque fired clay or hand painted and printed tiles glued to clear acrylic which has been laser or router cut. She has also experimented using ash glazes - Jarrah, Marri, Grass trees, English Oak and Tasmanian Blue Gum and continues to explore other glaze combinations to use on her hand built forms. She was recently featured in The Journal of Australian Ceramics with her work ‘Traces’. The installation included both printed and embossed tiles and two specimen drawers with slip coated fired birds and frogs.
