WEDGE Grant Scheme

The Wedge Grant Scheme is designed for activities that further develop connections within the Western Australian ceramics community.  A limited number of grants of up to $500 will be available.  

Grant Guidelines

Eligibility

 

  • Eligible activities are expected to include artist talks, demonstrations or workshops.

  • Grants are available to CAAWA members only who reside in Western Australia.

  • Grants are provided to help cover expenses associated with the activity.  Eligible expenses include travel, accommodation, material costs, third party venue costs, catering expenses, freight and other external expenses.

  • The proposed activity should be conducted within 12 months of receipt of the grant (by 31 August, 2027).
     

Application Process

  • Applications must be emailed to admin@ceramicartswa.asn.au by 31 July, 2026.

  • Where the proposed activity involves engagement with another group, the application should include a note of support from the host group.

  • Applications should be supported by a budget showing how the grant funds will be used.

  • The funds will be paid on award of the grant.  Successful applicants will be required to submit an invoice for the grant with details of the expenses being claimed.

  • At the completion of the activity a brief activity report and an article for the CAAWA newsletter (Pyre) must be submitted.

Selection criteria

  • Benefit of the proposed activity to your ceramics practice.

  • Benefit of the proposed activity to the WA ceramics community.

  • Promotion of engagement with WA regions.​

Selection process

  • Applications will be assessed by a selection committee. 

  • The number of grants awarded will be at the discretion of the CAAWA committee (max 10).  

  • Applicants will be notified of the outcome by 31 August, 2026.

 

Conflict of Interest

Members of the selection committee and people with other conflicts of interest will not be eligible for grants.
