A five-day immersive workshop on glaze development, ceramic chemistry and high-temperature firing, led by Gary Hambleton and Japneet Keith. Participants mix and test around 30 base glazes, explore line and triaxial blends, work with oxides, stains and colouring minerals, and build a personal glaze library to take home. Two live kiln firings are included: a reduction firing demonstration on day two, and a second firing and glaze evaluation on day four. Suitable for beginners through to professional makers, with no chemistry background required. 9 AM – 4.30 PM daily. $950 per person, all materials included. Participants bring 16 bisque-fired 5cm test tiles, a notebook, apron, enclosed footwear and lunch. Places are strictly limited. Hosted by Old Stables Pottery Studio & Gallery.
